Default call the Assembly for Patient Protection

call the Assembly for Patient Protection
In October, 3 million Medicaid beneficiaries who are in Medicaid Managed Care Plans will have to get their prescription drugs covered through those plans. These plans may have restricted formularies or preferred drugs that do not include their current prescriptions. A bill that the Senate passed yesterday will at least provide a 9 month supply of current prescription to give them a chance to figure out what to do, whether it is go through an appeal process and/or adjust to a different medication. Now we need to get A.8237 passed in the Assembly.

Please make two calls this morning to the following Assembly leaders:

Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver at 518-455-3791
Assembly Health Committee Chair Richard Gottfried at 518-455-4941

and leave the following message:

Im a registered voter calling from (your locality) urging you to protect the health of Medicaid beneficiaries and save big costs from avoidable relapses and hospitalizations by approving A.8237.
